Water Softeners

Hard water leaves white spots on your glassware, scale on your faucets, and buildup inside your water heater and appliances. A real water softener removes the hardness minerals causing it, at the main line, for the whole house.

How softening works

Salt does not soften water. Resin does.

Inside the tank, resin beads pull calcium and magnesium, the hardness minerals, out of the water and swap them for a trace of sodium. That swap is what softening actually is. When the resin fills up, the system regenerates: salt from the brine tank makes the rinse that cleans the resin so it can keep working.

Our softener is built into the same mixed-bed tank as our carbon filtration, so one install handles hardness, chlorine taste, and smell together. The ceramic disc control valve needs no maintenance and carries a lifetime warranty.

Built with carbon and resin media that meet NSF/ANSI 61 drinking water safety standards.

Salt-free option

Rather skip the salt?

We also install salt-free conditioners, paired with a full carbon tank. A conditioner does not remove hardness minerals the way a softener does. Instead it changes how the minerals behave so scale is far less likely to stick to pipes and fixtures. No salt bags, no regeneration, and the carbon tank still takes out chlorine for taste and smell.

If spots on dishes are your main complaint, a true softener is the stronger fix. If easier scale cleanup with zero upkeep is the goal, the conditioner earns a look. We will tell you straight which one fits your house.

Common questions

What is the difference between a softener and a salt-free conditioner?

A softener removes hardness minerals from the water through ion exchange, so spots and scale mostly stop forming. A conditioner leaves the minerals in but changes their behavior so scale sticks far less. Softeners give the bigger change you can feel; conditioners give easier cleanup with no salt to refill.

Will softened water feel slippery?

It can feel different at first because your skin is not fighting mineral residue anymore. Most people adjust within a week and prefer it.

How much does a water softener cost installed?

Our whole-home system with softening and filtration is $2,975 installed, and the dual-tank package is $3,550 installed with a reverse osmosis system included.

How long does installation take?

Most installs take 3 to 4 hours, and we clean up before we leave.
